It seems your heart is in a treasured place, so would be willing to share some things if you are willing to cook them :-)
Royal Presencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101507060185307950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3292613437866923190.post-91755307084883727362013-09-30T18:48:33.778-04:002013-09-30T18:48:33.778-04:00Thank you Paula. I, very often, try to put myself in the kitchen of our ancestors(even my grandmother)and think about how it must have been so heart warming, personable and embracing sitting around and enjoying great food and just simply talking. I also love old cookbooks, hoping I will find handwriting from many years ago. Thank you for the great comments and I hope you take a peek at my new website, theyankeechef.com.The Yankee Chefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09719290549455799418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3292613437866923190.post-52552102719826756202013-09-30T18:37:24.883-04:002013-09-30T18:37:24.883-04:00I enjoyed reading your blog, I'm looking throu...I enjoyed reading your blog, I'm looking through some past issues right now. I too find it a nice pastime to read old recipes, especially my Mom's, who was the family cook and baker. I also enjoy when I pick up a 2nd hand copy of an old cookbook and find writing in the margins of the owner who jotted down special notes. I try to imagine what they were thinking of when adding to their recipe journals.

Your most recent post of the language was enlightening, as I'd never heard of most of the phrases, but I loved the term "prayer handles". So cute!

Sincerely
Paula
Royal Presencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101507060185307950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3292613437866923190.post-11779472720697575242013-09-28T10:30:59.390-04:002013-09-28T10:30:59.390-04:00Hi Chef. Keep up the good work and I hope any naysayers get a life. If people complain about your recipes being too simple, I guess your persona is working. Bravo to you and Bravo needs to look at you for a show called The Yankee Chef, hahaha.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
